Nashua, NH – February 10, 2004 – Following a successful beta test, NuWave Technologies, Inc. announced today the general availability release of its latest product, SOAP/AM™ Web Service Client Version 1.0. The software allows any application that runs on HP NonStop servers, regardless of programming language, to access Web services hosted on any platform through the industry-standard SOAP protocol. The product can be downloaded from NuWave’s web site at http://www.nuwave-tech.com/support/download A free, 30-day trial is available.

SOAP/AM™ Web Service Client is a complimentary product to NuWave’s SOAP/AM™ Server, released last year. SOAP/AM™ Server allows existing applications on NonStop servers to be exposed as Web services without any software changes to the existing NonStop application.

SOAP/AM™ Web Service Client relays messages from NonStop client applications sent through the NonStop server’s native inter-process message system to Web services anywhere in the world. SOAP/AM™ hides the complexity of the TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL and SOAP protocols required to access Web services.

As an illustration of the usage of SOAP/AM™ Web Service Client, one beta-tester is developing a client application that uses the software to access a Web service that provides real-time foreign exchange rates. The client application is part of a Pathway-based cash management application that calls the Web service during processing of FOREX currency trades.

By providing a simple, familiar interface to access Web services, SOAP/AM™ minimizes the learning curve for developers, allowing them to build secure distributed applications that integrate Web services running on virtually any computing platform quickly and easily.

SOAP/AM™ Web Service Client conforms to the current SOAP, XML, SSL, TLS, and HTTP standards. It installs entirely on the NonStop server and does not require OSS (the POSIX operating system personality for NonStop servers).
