Nashua, NH – January 20, 2005– McKesson Corporation, one of the country’s leading health care service providers, is replacing its Java order entry application with Web services using SOAP/AM™ from NuWave Technologies. Hezron Hightower, Group Application Manager at McKesson, said "After an extensive evaluation of available Web services enabling products, we chose SOAP/AM™ for its ease of use. Our developers were able to develop and demonstrate Web service access to NonStop Pathway servers, using SOAP/AM™ Server, within two days." He added, "The responsiveness and quality of technical support from NuWave has been exceptional and has reinforced our selection – we made the right choice!"
SOAP/AM™ hides the complexity of the TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL and SOAP protocols required to access Web services. By providing a simple, familiar interface to access Web services, SOAP/AM™ minimizes the learning curve for developers, allowing them to build secure distributed applications that integrate Web services running on virtually any computing platform quickly and easily. SOAP/AM™ products can be downloaded from NuWave’s website. A free, 30-day trial is available.
SOAP/AM Server allows applications on NonStop servers to be exposed as Web services without any changes to the existing software. SOAP/AM Web Service Client allows your NonStop applications to access Web services running on any platform by simply sending an inter-process message.
