The 2012 December New England NonStop User Group (NENUG) meeting was a successful event attended by a mix of HP Managers, vendor representatives, and regional customers. NuWave Technologies was in attendance to hear directly from HP about the latest buzz on NonStop, network with colleagues, and see innovations from NonStop solutions providers. Congrats go out to the NENUG Board for a job well done!
The event included presentations for NonStop case studies and a feature presentation from HP’s John Vollers. John’s presentation provided insights into NonStop performance gains using Solid State Drive (SSD) technology along with recommendations for partitioning current Hard Disk Drives to ensure easy migration to SSD.

Ernie Guerrera, President of NuWave Technologies, presented at the CTUG Fall Conference, Oct.24, 2012, in Mississauga, Ontario. His technical session, “Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Modernization Best Practices” features an overview of the critical decisions and tools necessary to develop and implement an effective modernization or migration strategy. This presentation addresses the urgency and complexity of modernizing or migrating NonStop systems to meet rapidly changing technology for exchanging information on diverse devices and platforms.

At the NonStop Boot Camp in San Jose, NuWave President, Ernie Guerrera, networked with other NonStop professionals from across the country to discuss the latest IT challenges and news for NonStop. Pre-conference programs provided an opportunity for NonStop professionals to get a deep-dive into today’s hot NonStop topics, including NonStop server analysis and tuning. The main conference provided dozens of technical breakout sessions covering the full range of news and solutions for NonStop modernization -- including the latest hardware, developer tools, and application development tips. NuWave also participated in a joint session and panel discussion with other solutions providers regarding the state of application modernization on HP NonStop.
Our Congratulations go out to Jonas Olsson, from Tieto Sweden AB. Jonas was selected for an Android Tablet; this year's Boot Camp Passport Prize from NuWave Technologies.
