NuWave Technologies' president and marketing director will both attend the company's local NonStop event this year. Ernie Guerrera will show the converged infrastructure (CI) presentation that stirred things up down at SunTUG. This talk will include an overview and background of CI, migration options, how SOA and Web services can assist in the transition, a quick description of SOAP/AM®, and a roadmap for your move to CI. We hope you can make it! If not, just email Ernie at eguerrera@nuwave-tech.com to set up a virtual meeting.
SunTUG Summit
March 11-12
HP User Group Embassy Suites
Tampa, FL
NuWave is glad to be kicking off the year at SunTUG, which is always a great event, and is looking forward to reconnecting with the area's NonStop community. We'll also be sponsoring the golf tournament, so good luck to all the participants!
We will discuss the benefits and implementation methods of converged infrastructure (CI), so if this topic interests you, stop by our vendor track. Our SOAP/AM® products have been production proven and standards-based since 2003, and now they have been certified as CI Ready. This owes to the fact that they can turn passive NonStop applications into active participants in this data center optimization strategy by integrating them into the CI stack. As a next step or even as an alternative to CI, SOAP/AM® can also help companies to migrate off the NonStop server.
As part of the talk on converged infrastructure, NuWave will also announce an exciting new product, which will be released later this year. This software will serve as a cost-effective alternative to RSC and will include Web services capabilities and unbeatable NuWave support. For more details or to express your interest in this technology, email info@nuwave-tech.com.
Understanding Converged Infrastructure
January 6
Online
This event is for Tandem users and covers topics such as enterprise service buses (ESBs) and converged infrastructure (CI). The presentation will be given by Ernie Guerrera, president of NuWave Technologies. A description follows:
This webinar will start out by describing the basics of service-oriented architecture (SOA) , the goals commonly associated with SOA, and how it has led IT infrastructure to evolve over time. We will then show how this technology has led to new architectures, including enterprise service buses (ESBs), and the advantages of implementing this architecture alongside your HP NonStop server. Mainly, we will discuss converged infrastructure (CI) and what this means for your data center.
Big SIG
December 2
Trinity House
London, England
Most unfortunately, we were not able to make it to this year's Big SIG, which was held at the elegant Trinity House headquarters in London. After departing from Boston on November 30th, Ernie Guerrera, NuWave's president, was rerouted to Dublin due to extreme weather conditions and forced to stay there until his return flight on December 3rd.
If he had made it to the event, Ernie would have presented "Beyond Web Services & SOA", which is about the evolution of service-oriented architecture (SOA) into new technologies such as enterprise service buses (ESBs) and converged infrastructure (CI). If you are interested in this topic, please attend the virtual presentation in early January (we will announce the exact date on our website and via email on December 6th).
